Description

Quick and flavorful steak fajitas filled with smoky seared beef, bell peppers, and onions, perfect for weeknights or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tortillas
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, salsa, cilantro

Instructions

  1. Mix the olive oil, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Rub the mixture over the flank steak and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat or grill to medium-high.
  3. Place the steak on the hot grill or skillet, cooking for 5–7 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and let it rest for 5–10 minutes.
  4. In the same pan, sauté the sliced bell pepper and onion until tender, about 6–8 minutes.
  5. Slice the steak against the grain into bite-size strips. Warm tortillas and serve the steak in them with sautéed vegetables and toppings.

Notes

Slice against the grain for tender strips. Rest the steak to lock in juices.
