- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar (for strawberries)
- Whipped cream (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until evenly mixed.
- Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture and cut in until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually stir in the heavy cream until just combined.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently until it holds together.
- Pat or roll the dough to about 1 inch thick and cut out biscuits.
- Place biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- While baking, combine sliced strawberries with 1/4 cup sugar and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Once baked, let biscuits cool slightly, then split and top with strawberries and whipped cream.
