Description

A delightful summer treat featuring flaky biscuits, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for strawberries)
  • Whipped cream (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until evenly mixed.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture and cut in until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gradually stir in the heavy cream until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently until it holds together.
  6. Pat or roll the dough to about 1 inch thick and cut out biscuits.
  7. Place biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. While baking, combine sliced strawberries with 1/4 cup sugar and let sit for 10 minutes.
  10. Once baked, let biscuits cool slightly, then split and top with strawberries and whipped cream.

Notes

Use cold ingredients for flaky biscuits and avoid overworking the dough.
