- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract one at a time, mixing well. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder, then gradually add to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
- Fill cupcake liners about 2/3 full with the batter and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let them cool completely before frosting.
- Decorate with your choice of frosting and add toppings like candy corn or chocolate chips.
Notes
Store leftover cupcakes in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for a week. Bring to room temperature before serving.
