Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Frosting (chocolate or vanilla)
  • Decorative toppings (candy corn, chocolate chips, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract one at a time, mixing well. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder, then gradually add to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
  4. Fill cupcake liners about 2/3 full with the batter and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let them cool completely before frosting.
  5. Decorate with your choice of frosting and add toppings like candy corn or chocolate chips.
