Description

Delicious and healthy whole wheat pancakes that offer a nutty flavor and fluffy texture, perfect for breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the whole wheat flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
  5. Serve warm with syrup or toppings of your choice.

Notes

For a healthier option, top with fresh fruit or yogurt. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
