- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and thoroughly grease a donut pan.
- Whisk together the all-purpose flour, almond flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
- Mix together the applesauce, eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk in a separate bowl.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fill each donut cavity about 3/4 full with the batter and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for the glaze.
- Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze, letting excess drip off, and serve.
