Description

A quick and easy beef and broccoli recipe that combines tender beef slices with vibrant broccoli in a savory sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (sliced thin)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients by slicing the beef thinly against the grain, washing and cutting the broccoli into florets, and mincing the garlic.
  2. Mix together 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and 1 cup of beef broth in a bowl.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add the sliced beef to the skillet and cook until browned and just cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Toss in the broccoli and stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and slightly tender.
  6. Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and broccoli, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, around 1-2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

Substitutions include chicken, tofu, or shrimp. For gluten-free, use gluten-free soy and oyster sauce.
