Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs Sirloin steak or Ribeye, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by patting the steak dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture; this ensures a better sear. Cut the steak into uniform 1-inch cubes so they cook evenly. In a large mixing bowl, toss the steak bites with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Make sure every piece is thoroughly coated in the seasoning. While you prep, preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes to ensure it is piping hot when the meat goes in.
  2. Place the seasoned steak bites into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; work in batches if necessary to allow for proper airflow. Air fry at 400°F for 6 to 8 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, shake the basket or use tongs to flip the steak bites. For medium-rare, aim for 6 minutes; for medium-well, go for 8 to 9 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 135°F for medium-rare.
  3. While the steak is cooking, whisk together the melted butter, minced fresh garlic, and chopped parsley in a small bowl. As soon as the steak bites are done, transfer them to a clean bowl and pour the garlic butter mixture over them. Toss well to coat every piece. Serve immediately on a platter with extra fresh parsley for garnish. These pair perfectly with mashed potatoes, roasted asparagus, or even just toothpicks as a party snack.
